March, 2019 - New Shows, New Songs, New things

Evening friends!

It’s been a while since I posted a blog, and I’m ashamed to admit that I have failed abysmally at putting a post a month up. It’s been hectic since the finish of our Japan Tour. We’ve been working on content, which includes videos, songs, demos, live recordings; booking live shows, organising a band layout, finding new jobs and homes, rehearsing, writing, surfing, sleeping and loving live!

In particular, we’ve been totally blessed to have played a lovely show at the Wesley Anne down in Melbourne in February, and will hopefully be heading back up that way in May. That was an epic trip. Apart from playing, we caught up with friends, saw the legends from Caravana Sun deliver a banger show, and had fun tramming it around town.

Following that we were blessed again to get the opportunity to support Kodaline at the Triffid in Brisbane, which was beyond amazing. Such an experience. We learned so much. We also realised that our desire to do this full time has not changed a bit. So we will plug on! Next up is some secret shows which we’re super excited to announce, more video and audio content, and hopefully even better vibes!

Big love people, if you’re reading this, get in touch and let us know what you think of our songs, music, shows, jokes, anything! We’d love to have a chat!

We're here - Japan 2018

So we have arrived. In Japan. What a weird and wonderful place it is.

Hello friends, and thanks for visiting the site again. I suppose I’ve been alright and keeping my one blog post a month goal, so there’s a positive to start the day. But let’s see, what have we been up to.

Well for starters, today is Friday, October the 5th, and is the day that Roses has been released on all major platforms to the World. Yew! What a journey it’s been for this release. Months and months of preparation, and it all comes down to just hitting ‘publish’. I love it.

It’s such a relieving sensation to release music, as you’ve had this thing sitting on your shoulders for such a long time, and then suddenly, it’s gone. No longer is it mine; but yours, and I don’t think I’d have it any other way.

So for anyone reading, head on over to our spotify and hit that follow button. I just published a post to our facebook and instagram letting people know how incredible that button is for getting our music to the world. It’s golden.

But anyway, we’ve been in Japan for a few days now and it’s insane. From the aesthetic little streets, to the unbelievably accommodating attitude the locals have, it’s a place of wonder, and surely an artistic hub. Street fashion is rampart, along with cosy little restaurants and music clubs hidden all over the place. Overall, we’re in love. We’ll definitely be back in the future to re-affirm this.

With our first gig tomorrow night, there’s a lot to look forward to, and we’re excited to share some photos and videos of our experiences.

In other news, now that Roses has been released, I’ll be starting my work on the next single, which is entitled: ‘Moonfall’. I’m super excited for this one, and will keep you all in the loop as per its progress.

So with that, I’m off.

Album complete/Japan tour!

Good evening friends.

Firstly, I hope everyone that is reading is exceptionally well, and living life to the fullest, wherever you may be. Myself, I have been super busy. As we are just under a month out from our first single release for the new album, I've been full hands on deck preparing all the bits and pieces that make up a release. As such, I haven't been 100% hands on deck with blog writing/updating. Forgive me. Life can get in the way of dedicated luxury computer time.

So what's been happening our side? Well aside from preparations for the release of our single 'Roses', we've been crazily planning our upcoming tour of Japan. Both Tom and I are full of energy and stoked to be going, as it's always a place we've wanted to visit, and to do it whilst playing music is a total dream. I don't expect us to make much publicity or money out of the event, but it's definitely a start towards getting some exposure in different parts of the world. Just through the show-booking stage of our prep, we've made a bunch of friends and connections that (hopefully) will make the trip a whole lot of fun, and maybe get us some small crowds.

Anywho, that's been the last few months for Tom and I. Record music, record videos, make posters, take pictures, book shows, book tours, book expensive tickets, lose money. It's all part of the fun.

See you around.

New Website - Welcome Friends

Hi guys! I've decided to make a new website as the old one was a bit dark. I thought it was right time to brighten things up a little. Here you'll find my latest blog posts, for anyone who read them. I'll (hopefully, though not likely) be uploading regular updates as per the progress of our musical journey. This will include basically anything that happens to us that I deem interesting enough to share, as well as updates for upcoming music, tours, and shows. I may even pop a small poem in now and then.

If you'd like to be part of it, we'll see you out there.
